Tokyo Ghoul, Vol 1

I don’t read much manga, or watch a lot of anime, but I figured this would be a good place for a horror junkie to start.

Ken Kaneki is a college student who has finally asked out the girl he’s had a crush on for the longest time. But, after the date, when she tries to eat him, his life is changed forever. In a world where ghouls exist and they’re hungry, a half-human, half-ghoul like Kaneki has to figure out how to manage his new life.

I’ve been watching and rewatching the anime a lot over my lifetime, and I figured I should read the source material, since everyone says the manga is much better than the anime.

Anyway, I really enjoyed it. The little extras in the back are funny, too, after the heaviness that the manga holds.
