Her Body and Other Parties
I do truly love this book.

Full of stories that center women, there’s not really a way for me to describe what this book is about more than that. Each story has its own point that are used to paint a bigger picture of queer femininity.
I read The Husband Stitch in a Hauntings and Horrors class I took in undergrad, and loved it so much I had to get the book. The writing is beautiful, and the worlds pull you in. I wasn’t 100% sure what was happening at all times, but I trusted Machado. It‘s such a trip, and I had such a good time along the way. My favorites were probably The Husband Stitch and Inventory. There is a story in the middle, Especially Heinous that drags a lot more than the others, but it’s because it’s so long and I was never a huge fan of Law and Order.
